4D Supply Chain Consulting announces two new e-learning courses that have been added to the 4D Training Academy. Both courses, “Bill of Lading Made Easy” and “Letter of Credit Made Easy,” are CILT-accredited.
Through a series of easy-to-follow learning units, these interactive courses provide a solid foundation in the knowledge and application of Bills of Lading and Letters of Credit. Every learning session is backed by real market case studies and scenarios. The CILT accreditation of the two new courses demonstrates 4D’s continued successful partnership with CILT and its drive to provide world-class training to support a professional logistics and supply chain industry along its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) journey.
The e-learning course “Bill of Lading Made Easy” provides a first-level understanding of Bills of Lading (B/L) and their purpose. Attendees learn to define the various types of B/Ls and their importance, to determine the risks associated with B/Ls and how to mitigate them. Furthermore, the identification and selection of the B/Ls best suited for shipments, understanding how to create comprehensive and clear B/L instructions, and an explanation of the best practices while dealing with a B/L are course objectives.
By attending the “Letter of Credit Made Easy” course, trainees will understand what a Letter of Credit (LC) is and its purpose, the dynamics and terminology of an LC and the role of each party involved, and be able to describe the process of issuing an LC. The identification and selection of the LC that is best suited for a shipment, understanding the rules of issuance and use of an LC and determining the risks involved with an LC and how to mitigate them will be take-aways as well.
Upon completing the modules and successfully passing the final assessments, a CILT-endorsed certificate of completion is awarded to the participant for the respective e-learning course. 4D is currently in partnership with over 10 universities and training institutions globally, which will be offering these courses to their students.
“4D offers supply chain support, training, and manpower provision. Our trainings enable much-needed staff upskilling and continuous professional development to offer both new and already on-board staff the ability to take over tasks and run day-to-day operations,” said Thomas Skellingsted, Vice President, 4D Supply Chain Consulting.
“We are proud to be recognized by CILT as well as universities all over the world. Being accredited by a professional body and recommended by universities underlines the quality of our products and services and their high standards,” added Vilasini Krishnan, Senior Consultant, 4D Supply Chain Consulting.
